I write poetry because I seek peace.
I am a poet because my hands are tired,
because my head is aching,
because my heart is yearning—
yearning for peace,
for freedom,
for tranquility.
I often find myself lost in thought—pondering both the simple things in life, the ones many might overlook, and the bigger problems. At times, I attempt to connect the dots between seemingly unrelated things, searching for common threads. This desire to understand how things work at the most fundamental level is what inspires my philosophy.
I am but a dweller of the mind, just as the name KATONOUS
is formed from the Greek words κατοικία (dwelling) and νοῦς (mind),
drawn from both Ancient and Modern Greek
I am a physics student who often entertains himself in the classical arts, poetry, philosophy, classical music, and more.
Above all, I long to understand things at the most fundamental level.
That is why I study physics: in search of answers.
While physics helps me understand the universe outside, philosophy and poetry help me understand the universe within.
They reveal to me the vast universe that dwells within our minds.
Poetry is the art of rhythming words to express what we feel inside.
Philosophy is the relentless questioning of what might even be seemingly simple, but always remembering that there is more than meets the eye.
Last but not least, classical music is a language with no words, only notes, and might even include the dedication of a lifetime that always inspires me.
If my words have moved you or sparked a thought or feeling within, consider donating to support my academic tuition out of admiration for the pursuit of knowledge and meaning.
And also... I’m broke, Please 🥺
