Memories

Colorful Turquoise-browed Motmot with vibrant blue eyebrows, green and orange body, and unique racket-shaped tail feathers, perched on a branch.

Looking back at the memories can be quite tough,

but as Dr. Seuss once said:

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

And here I am, forcing a smile, holding the tears inside

for the good times that did happen when sorrow was rife.

Remembering happiness during the sad times

is not something most of us recall,

and when we suddenly do, it may bring tears to our eyes

not because of grief but rather because of glad.
